Meta: Pixel not available or not owned
What you’ll see
Section titled “What you’ll see”The pixel you selected isn’t available, or you don’t have permission to use this pixel.
Why this happens
Section titled “Why this happens”For Sales or Leads (website) campaigns, Meta needs a Pixel that is owned by your Business and assigned to the ad account you’re launching from — and it must be active. If the pixel belongs to a different Business, isn’t assigned, or is off, Meta blocks it.
How to fix it
Section titled “How to fix it”- Open Meta Business Settings → Data sources → Pixels (Datasets).
- Select your pixel and confirm it’s active.
- Click Assign assets → choose your ad account → enable access → Save.
- If the pixel belongs to a different Business, either use a pixel owned by the correct Business, or share it across Businesses in Partners.
- Return to markXpand, make sure the right pixel is selected for the campaign, and Relaunch.
