LinkedIn: Turn on two-step verification
LinkedIn asks for two-step verification (2SV) before you can manage ads. It’s a one-time security setup and only takes a minute.
What you’ll see
Section titled “What you’ll see”A prompt to set up or confirm two-step verification before you can continue in Campaign Manager.
What this means
Section titled “What this means”Two-step verification adds a second check (a code from your phone or an authenticator app) on top of your password. LinkedIn requires it for accounts managing ads.
Why it happened
Section titled “Why it happened”- LinkedIn enforces 2SV for advertising access.
- Your account didn’t have it enabled yet.
How to fix it
Section titled “How to fix it”- Sign in to LinkedIn → Settings & Privacy → Sign in & security → Two-step verification.
- Turn it on and choose a method (authenticator app or SMS code).
- Complete the setup and verify once.
- Return to markXpand and Relaunch.
How to know it worked
Section titled “How to know it worked”Two-step verification shows as On, and Campaign Manager lets you continue.
