Google Ads: New account under review
Google checks new accounts before letting ads run. It’s routine and usually clears within a day — you mostly just need to wait.
What you’ll see
Section titled “What you’ll see”Ads or the account showing “Under review” and not serving (the screen may mention 3–5 working days).
What this means
Section titled “What this means”Every new Google Ads account goes through a review before ads can show. It’s automatic and most reviews finish in under one business day.
Why it happened
Section titled “Why it happened”- The account is new.
- A recent change or ad triggered an extra check.
How to fix it
Section titled “How to fix it”- Wait. Most reviews are done within a business day; allow a little longer for brand-new accounts.
- Don’t keep editing the ads — edits can restart the review clock.
- Make sure billing is set up and your landing page works — incomplete setup slows reviews.
- If it’s been more than a week, contact Google Ads support.
