Meta: Ad account restricted or has an unpaid balance
What you’ll see
Section titled “What you’ll see”Your ad account has been restricted / is disabled / has an unpaid balance.
Why this happens
Section titled “Why this happens”Meta has put your ad account in a non-active state. The most common reasons are an unpaid balance, a policy review, or a security restriction. Until the account is active again, no new ads can launch.
How to fix it
Section titled “How to fix it”If it’s a billing / unpaid balance issue
Section titled “If it’s a billing / unpaid balance issue”- Open Meta Billing (Ads Manager → Billing & Payment Settings).
- Find the amount due and click Pay now.
- If the payment fails, add or update your payment method, then pay again.
If the account is disabled or under review
Section titled “If the account is disabled or under review”- Open Account Quality.
- Select the affected ad account to see the reason.
- If a Request review button is available, submit it and wait for Meta’s decision.
Once the account shows Active again, return to markXpand and Relaunch.
