Meta: Confirm your identity

Meta sometimes asks the person running the ads to confirm their identity. It’s a quick step — usually just uploading an ID — and ads resume once you’re verified.

Confirm your identity

…and ad creation blocked until you do.

This is personal identity verification — Meta confirming you’re a real person. It’s separate from business verification (which confirms the company).

  • Meta saw a risk or security signal on the account.
  • Or you’re advertising in a regulated area (like finance or crypto) that gets extra scrutiny.
  1. Open the verification prompt, or go to Account Quality / Security Center.
  2. Choose confirm your identity.
  3. Upload a clear photo of a government-issued ID (and complete any extra step Meta asks for, like a quick selfie).
  4. Submit — Meta usually decides within a few business days.

Your identity shows as confirmed and the block is lifted, so you can Relaunch your campaign.

It helps to include a screenshot of the prompt (don’t send us your ID — only Meta needs that).
