Meta: Confirm your identity
Meta sometimes asks the person running the ads to confirm their identity. It’s a quick step — usually just uploading an ID — and ads resume once you’re verified.

…and ad creation blocked until you do.
What this means
Section titled “What this means”This is personal identity verification — Meta confirming you’re a real person. It’s separate from business verification (which confirms the company).
Why it happened
Section titled “Why it happened”- Meta saw a risk or security signal on the account.
- Or you’re advertising in a regulated area (like finance or crypto) that gets extra scrutiny.
How to fix it
Section titled “How to fix it”- Open the verification prompt, or go to Account Quality / Security Center.
- Choose confirm your identity.
- Upload a clear photo of a government-issued ID (and complete any extra step Meta asks for, like a quick selfie).
- Submit — Meta usually decides within a few business days.
