Google Ads: Account suspended or billing not set up
What you’ll see
Section titled “What you’ll see”Your Google Ads account isn’t active (status: …) — it may be suspended, cancelled, or have a billing problem. Fix it in Google Ads, then relaunch.
Why this happens
Section titled “Why this happens”Google won’t run ads while the account is suspended, cancelled, or has no active billing. Each has a different fix.
How to fix it
Section titled “How to fix it”If billing isn’t set up
Section titled “If billing isn’t set up”- Open Google Ads → Billing (tools icon) → Settings.
- Add your payment method / payer details and save. 👉 Submit billing information
If the account is suspended
Section titled “If the account is suspended”- Look for the suspension banner at the top of the account; it names the reason.
- Resolve the flagged issue (often unpaid invoices or a policy issue), then request a review. 👉 Account suspensions overview · Pay unpaid invoices
If the account was cancelled
Section titled “If the account was cancelled”- Sign in as an Admin → Admin menu → Preferences → Account status → Reactivate my account. 👉 Reactivate a cancelled account
Then return to markXpand and Relaunch.
