LinkedIn: Ad account on hold or restricted
Your LinkedIn ad account is on hold, which pauses delivery. Depending on the reason, it’s fixed by sorting out billing or by submitting an appeal.
What you’ll see
Section titled “What you’ll see”A red banner that the account is On hold, or a restriction notice — and ads not delivering.
What this means
Section titled “What this means”LinkedIn has paused the account. It’s usually one of two things: a billing problem, or the account was flagged for a trust/policy review.
Why it happened
Section titled “Why it happened”- A payment failed or no valid card is on file.
- The account or profile was flagged (e.g. looks like spam/fake) and needs review.
- For some accounts, an end date or budget cap was reached.
How to fix it
Section titled “How to fix it”- Open LinkedIn Campaign Manager and read the banner — it names the reason.
- If it’s billing: go to Account settings → Billing Center and add/update your card (only the billing admin can).
- If it’s a flag/restriction: submit an appeal through the restricted-account notice.
- If an end date/budget was reached, extend it.
- Once the hold clears, Relaunch.
How to know it worked
Section titled “How to know it worked”The “On hold” banner disappears and the account can run ads again.
